Privacy policy
Ambitora is a private fitness tracker. This policy explains what information the service processes, why it is needed, and the choices available to you.
Information you provide
Ambitora stores the account details you submit, including your name, email address and authentication information. It also stores the fitness information you choose to log: goals, body measurements, calorie targets, food diary entries, custom foods, lifting routines, workouts, notes, preferences and reminder settings.
Camera and barcode scanning
Camera access is requested only after you choose to scan a food barcode. Camera frames are processed by the device scanner and are not uploaded or retained by Ambitora. The detected barcode number is sent to Ambitora to look up product information.
How information is used
Information is used to provide your diary, calculations, trends, workout history, reminders, account security, export and deletion features. Technical request information may be processed to maintain sessions, prevent abuse and diagnose failures. Ambitora does not sell personal information and does not use fitness data for advertising.
Service providers
Ambitora relies on infrastructure providers for application hosting, database storage and transactional email. Google receives information only when you voluntarily use Google sign-in. Food names, search terms or barcode numbers may be queried against Open Food Facts; Ambitora does not send your account identity with those product requests.
Retention and control
Your active account data is retained until you delete it or request deletion. From Settings you can export your information and permanently delete the account. Infrastructure backups may remain for a limited recovery period before being overwritten.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access is scoped to authenticated accounts, and secrets are kept on the server. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a unique password and keep your device protected.
